Academic preparation course

You can learn the necessary Japanese language skills to enter universities, graduate schools, and vocational schools through our academic preparation courses.

We offer classes tailored to individual levels, allowing beginners to advanced learners to study Japanese.

In addition to acquiring the Japanese language proficiency required for admission to universities and graduate schools, we also provide support in areas such as greetings and etiquette education.

Courses and calcium

You will receive classes based on your individual level through a level placement test.

Beginner Class

Learning Goals: JLPT N3 level with a score of 350 points.
In this class, you will acquire basic grammar, vocabulary (approximately 600 words), and kanji (approximately 300 characters). You will be able to engage in daily conversations and read and write simple sentences.

Intermediate Class

Learning Goals: Achieve a score of 240 points in the Examination for Japanese Study Abroad, 35 points in the writing section, and JLPT N2 level.
In this class, you will acquire moderately advanced grammar, vocabulary (approximately 1500 words), and kanji (approximately 1000 characters). You will develop the ability to engage in conversations and perform reading and writing tasks on general topics.

Advanced Class

Learning Goals: Achieve a score of 300 points in the Examination for Japanese Study Abroad, 40 points in the writing section, and JLPT N1 level.
In this class, you will master advanced grammar, vocabulary (approximately 10,000 words), and kanji (approximately 2,000 characters). You will develop comprehensive Japanese language skills that are useful for social life and as a foundation for studying and conducting research at the university level.

Regarding to Application

Qualification

Applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Completion of at least 12 years of formal education (equivalent to high school education).
  2. Possession of Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 level or higher, or equivalent proficiency (150 hours or more of Japanese language learning).
  3. Intent to pursue studies.
  4. Ability to cover the necessary expenses for tuition, living expenses, and other costs during the stay in Japan, with a financial sponsor who can provide the necessary financial guarantee.
  5. Willingness to comply with Japanese laws, the school's regulations, and other specified rules.
Selection Process
  1. Submission of a completed preliminary survey form and a photocopy of the final educational certificate (can be submitted via fax).
  2. Application documents screening.
  3. On-site interview (the financial sponsor and guardian should be present on the day of the interview).
  4. Written examination (Japanese proficiency and more).

Notes on Fees

  • 1) Payment Method

    Please make the payment for the desired payment method in a lump sum (in Japanese yen) to the designated bank account of our school by the deadline for enrollment procedures. Cash payments can be made in person at the counter.

  • 2) About Refunds
    • If payment of fees is not confirmed by the specified deadline, it will be considered as withdrawal from enrollment.
    • Once the enrollment procedures are completed, the enrollment fee cannot be refunded in case of withdrawal from enrollment.
    • Regarding refunds for costs associated with withdrawal after enrollment, if tuition fees for the subsequent semester have already been paid, only the tuition fees will be refunded.

Depending on the applicant's background, the contents of the application documents may vary. Please fill out the necessary information on the Preliminary Investigation Form and send it back to us (fax is acceptable).

We will provide you with the required application documents. ※ If you plan to study in Japan, you will need to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Immigration Bureau. While our school will handle the application for the Certificate of Eligibility on your behalf, we need to ensure that the applicant meets the necessary criteria for studying abroad. Therefore, please submit the Preliminary Investigation Form first for us to verify.

Translation We do not provide translation services for documents at our school.
How to Apply If you have a guarantor residing in Japan, please bring the application documents and the selection fee to our school.
If you do not have a guarantor residing in Japan, please make the payment for the selection fee to the designated bank account of our school, and then send the application documents and translated texts by mail (EMS).

* Our School is a reputable school; however, in order to promptly respond to any additional document requests from immigration authorities, we kindly ask applicants to submit documents other than the required ones in advance. Your understanding is appreciated.

Documents to be prepared by the applicant

  1. 10 color passport-sized photos (3cm x 4cm)
  2. Copy of the family register (for all family members)
  3. Application form for admission (provided by our school, 3 copies)
  4. Statement of Reasons for Enrollment and Post-Graduation Plan (provided by our school, 1 copy)
  5. Original and copy of the graduation certificate from the last educational institution attended
  6. Academic transcript from the last educational institution attended
  7. Documentation proving Japanese language proficiency (certificate of Japanese language study history, certification of proficiency test)
  8. Certificate of current employment (for employed applicants), certificate of enrollment (for those currently enrolled in school)
  9. Any other relevant documents

A. When financial sponsor sends money from their home country.

If the financial sponsor is not the applicant’s parents, please also prepare the following documents.

  1. Explanation of the reasons for providing financial support
  2. Documentation proving the relationship with the applicant (such as photographs)

Instructions for completing the application documents

  1. Please fill out the application form with a fountain pen or ballpoint pen (in black ink only). Ensure consistency in handwriting.
  2. Use a unified date format throughout the form.
  3. Fill out the form in the applicant's native language.
  4. Correction fluid should not be used.

* Note: After submitting the application to the immigration bureau, the original graduation certificate, Japanese language proficiency test certificate, and academic transcript will be returned. However, other documents cannot be returned. Please be aware of this.
